Renovation of a municipal facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The three (3) Automatic Transfer Switches (ATSs) at the Public Safety Facility in downtown Minneapolis are nearing end-of-life and need to be replaced. The existing ATSs also have no bypasses installed, making them problematic to service. This project will involve a General Contractor building a new / expanded electrical room, providing & installing new ATSs with bypass capability, moving power to these new transfer switches, and demolition and removal of all old equipment and conduit. As this is a jail / courthouse / Sheriff's Department facility, there can be little-or-no power disruption to the facility. To account for this, we require moving the electrical wiring from the old ATSs to the new ones with minimal downtime. Electricians with experience working under tight time constraints, doing electrical cutovers near energized systems, and working in secured / jail facilities are preferred. The Work also includes mechanical, plumbing and carpentry to build a new, larger electrical room. The Owner's estimated construction cost for the Work is $1,000,000.00.
