The project involves performing work for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Pedestrian Accessibility Improvement Project: Phase 6 & 6(B). The work includes removing and constructing concrete curb ramps, sidewalks, and driveways. It also involves traffic control, adjusting utility manholes and water valves, re-establishing survey monuments, and replacing impacted existing pavement, painted striping, pavement markings, and truncated domes. A bid alternate for additional sidewalk panels is also included. The project must be completed before August 31, 2023, with a total project duration not exceeding 21 working days. Bid Opening Date: Thursday, July 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a certified or cashiers check or bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount named in the bid proposal. The successful bidder is required to furnish a Labor and Materials Bond in an amount that is 100% of the contract and a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract. The bonds must be secured by a surety company satisfactory to the City Attorney of the City of Laguna Woods.
