The work includes replacement and looping of approximately 32,500 feet of 8" watermains, water service line replacements, associated cold milling, HMA replacement, curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement along with lawn restoration with other appurtenances. Scope also includes replacement of lead service lines from new watermains to inside the customer's structure. A pre-bid conference will not be held. This project is subject to prevailing wages. The City of Ovid reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the City of Ovid. Bids will be accepted only from Plan Holders of Record. In order to be a Plan Holder of Record Bidding Documents must be obtained from the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents will be emailed in portable document format (PDF) at no charge. Contractor shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work is generally described as follows: Replacement of watermains including HMA replacement, curb and gutter replacement and sanitary and storm basin rework as applicable. Also included is tree removal, sidewalk replacements and green space restoration along with other appurtenances. Scope also includes replacement of lead service lines on new and existing watermains to inside the Customer's structure. Owner on its own initiative may issue Addenda to clarify, correct, supplement, or change the Bidding Documents. 7.02 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. 7.03 Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered Plan Holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. 7.04 Only responses set forth in an Addendum will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Responses to questions are not part of the Contract Documents unless set forth in an Addendum that expressly modifies or supplements the Contract Documents
