Site Directions: Outagamie Road and Rueden Ridge (1st Addition) in Town of Buchanan, WI Sealed bids for the Town of Buchanan, 2023 Roadway Construction, Contract B-23, project The work, in general, will include the approximate quantities and items listed below: 6,500 SY Pulverize Asphalt, 4,000 TON Crushed Aggregate Base Course, 500 SY Asphalt Patching, 2,500 TON Hot Mix Asphalt, 11,000 LF Shouldering, 50 LF CMP Culvert The proposals shall be submitted on the forms furnished with the specifications. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check payable to the owner equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal or a bid bond of a bonding company duly authorized to do business in the State of Wisconsin in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the proposal. This proposal guarantee shall be subject to forfeiture as provided by law. Bidder is encouraged to visit the Site and conduct a thorough visual examination of the Site and adjacent areas. During the visit the Bidder must not disturb any ongoing operations at the Site. B. Bidders visiting the Site are required to arrange their own transportation to the Site. C. Bidder is not required to conduct any subsurface testing, or exhaustive investigations of Site conditions 2 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. The Work will be substantially complete within 32 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 39 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. b. This work shall not begin before September 11, 2023, unless otherwise approved by Owner and Engineer. 2. Rueden Ridge: a. The Work will be substantially complete within 14 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 21 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. 3. Miscellaneous Roadway Asphalt Patching: a. The Work will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 10 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. B. All Work: 1. All Work shall be completed by October 27, 2023. When submitting an electronic bid, Bidder is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within 72 hours of bid opening to Cedar Corporation. For this project, bids will be received and accepted via electronic bid or by sealed paper copy. Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date of opening.
