The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Combined Dams Ten (10) Outlet Works Rehabilitation. This is a combined major maintenance project for outlet control structures and principal spillways at 10 NRCS Dams. As a project, it entails in-kind replacements or repairs to extend the service life of multiple dam features. Improvements of low-level drain gates, reservoir-level maintenance gates, localized concrete repairs, wildlife passage gates, and lining of spillway pipes are some the maintenance efforts to take place. Safety improvements for operating personnel and public (i.e., standing platform additions, railings, and access ladders, caution signage, painting) are also coupled to the project. Stantec Consulting Services designed site improvements and is serving as Engineer of Record at nine sites (H-3, H-22, H-25, M-7, TM-1, N-1, Y-3, Y-16, and Inverness). Freese and Nichols designed site improvements and is serving as Engineer of Record for the H-21 site. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the sum of 100% of the total amount bid and provide insurance coverage as required by the contract documents.
