The work to be performed under this contract includes the following: Base Bid - The renovation of the athletic complex at Thomas O'Beirne fields in Roseland, New Jersey. Improvements include replacing the natural grass and clay fields with multi-use synthetic turf facilities (nearly 150,000 square feet allowing for regulation play of baseball, softball, soccer and youth soccer). Improvements to this facility also include a nearly 3,000 square foot pre-fabricated concrete field house building, significant drainage improvements, upgrades to the existing electric service and sports field lighting, considerable fence and retaining wall construction, installation of protective ball netting, ADA accessible concrete sidewalks, ornamental lighting, a new state-of-the-art audio/video system and the installation of various other athletic and site amenities and utility improvements. Alternate Bid - The furnishing and assembly of various athletic goals and equipment. The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed by April 5, 2024. a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier s check, or Bid Bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the amount bid, The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder. that the surety company will furnish a performance bond and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract.
