**As of September 14, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. Award should be going before the city council later this month. The OWNER will evaluate all
bids received and award the contract based on bid price and qualifications. The CONTRACTOR selected will be notified in
writing by the OWNER. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60)
calendar days.
Work To Be Done: The Work to be completed for the HWY 53 WATER TREATMENT PLANT EXPANSION is
described briefly as follows: In general, construction shall consist of modifying the flow control vault and pre-flash mixer,
constructing a new hydraulic flocculator, installing plate settler and sludge collection systems, rehabilitating the filters,
constructing a new bulk chemical storage facility and chemical feed improvements, a new backup generator, and other
miscellaneous piping, instrumentation, and electrical work.
