Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Head, Clara and Maria, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The Ministry is seeking a contractor for the replacement of an existing 7.68m (25ft) steel stringer bridge on timber crib abutments with a 15.2m (50ft) modular bridge on timber raised bearing pad abutments the (Structure) in accordance with the Contract Drawings, Schedule 5, and the Specifications. The Structure is located at KM4.5 of Deux Rivières Road in the Township of Clara, outside the town of Deux Rivières (the Site). The intersection of Deux Rivières Road and Brent Road is approximately 2.5km from the intersection of Brent Road and HWY17. The existing bridge has a load posting of 38, 27, 15t. Construction Services for this Project will include the loading, shipment and delivery of steel and timber bridge components from inventory in Bracebridge, ON to site, supply of the various connectors, nails, drift pins, geofabric and aggregate, provide all labour, equipment and supervision to complete the removal and disposal of the existing bridge, and install the new bridge in accordance with design drawings and specifications. Construction services will be required by August 14, 2023 ending on October 6, 2023. Full closure of the road may only be permitted for a two (2) week window within the timing allowance. Contractor will be required to post notification signage a minimum of five (5) weeks in advance of construction with dates provided for the 2-week road closure.
