The City of Kelowna invites proposals for the construction of a dedicated right-turn lane along Harvey Avenue at the intersection of Pandosy Street, which includes curb and gutter, sidewalk construction, intersection improvements, lighting conduit and base installation. The Work can be briefly summarized as follows: a) Removal of existing asphalt b) Traffic signal reconfiguration, including various removals and installation of new bases, poles, signal heads, signage, wiring, and other works. c) Minor road widening and concrete curb construction. d) Sidewalk works to accommodate new geometry e) Asphalt overlay paving and pavement markings. f) Drainage improvements, including new catch basins, leads and connections to existing storm main. g) Landscape restoration and related works. h) Working hours for any work affecting traffic shall be 7:00 pm to 6:00 am in accordance with the Highway Usage Permit unless otherwise approved by the Contract Administrator and MOTI. Traffic interruptions are not permitted on provincial highways, arterial, or major collector roads between the hours of 6:00 am and 7:00 pm. No disruptions to traffic flow are permitted outside of working hours. Drive lanes must be returned to an asphalt surface of at least 3.5m width, free of potholes and other impediments, sufficient to accommodate a standard two-wheel drive passenger vehicles at a speed of 50 km/h outside of working hours.
