Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Turner Valley, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The spray park is located immediately behind the Dr. Lander Memorial Pool in old Turner Valley which is located at 207 Main Street. This site is open to full day sun with only a small amount of natural shade provided by one poplar tree (medium size approximately 25' in height), and one small Lynden tree. The spray pad is orientated North to South by length, or the pool is located immediately West of the amenity. The intention is to provide additional man-made shade that provides maximum coverage. This shade should be provided in a manner that offers maximum protection from the sun's movement through the summer months, preferably from mid to late day. The shade should be provided on the peripheral of the splash pad for users that are resting or picnicking at the splash pad's edge. Any shade option must be durable, capable of withstanding strong winds (upwards of 90kms) and be removable for the winter months.
