Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in West Allis, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Site Directions: The General Area Bounded by S. 78th St. to S. 68th St. and Union Pacific Railroad to the South City Limits The work under this Contract consists of miscellaneous concrete sidewalk replacement, concrete grinding, sodding, and all incidental items necessary to complete the work as listed in the contract and included in these Special Provisions. This specification covers grinding of Portland cement concrete sidewalks or driveways to eliminate joint faulting or tripping hazards. This work shall be accomplished in accordance with these specifications and as directed by the Engineer. A Contractor specifically trained in concrete grinding shall perform the work. The contractor shall have a minimum of three (3) years experience in concrete grinding, which has successfully completed at least five (5) concrete grinding projects of high quality, similar in scope to that specified herein and located within a one hundred (100) mile radius of the project. Evidence that the Contractor is qualified to comply with the requirements specified herein shall be submitted to, and be subject to, approval of the Engineer. The City of West Allis has recommended the following minority business involvement goals: Architectural Services M.B.E. Goal 4% Construction and Purchasing M.B.E. Goal 4% Female Owned Business Participation M.B.E. Goal 6.9%
