Fa Proj Y001-0516-623, Nassau Co., Asphalt Resurfacing - Northern State Parkway From Meadowbrook State Parkway to Wantagh State Parkway, Town of North Hempstead & Village of Westbury This project proposes to restore the pavement riding surface on the Northern State Parkway between Meadowbrook State Parkway and Wantagh State Parkway in the Town of North Hempstead, Nassau County to a smooth and distress free condition by milling and resurfacing the existing pavement. All proposed pavement work is expected to increase safety and provide a smooth riding surface for vehicular travel for the next 10 to 12 years. The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Summer 2023. Construction is expected to begin in Fall 2023. Construction is expected to be completed in Fall 2024. This Project is Located in the Long Island Region and Includes the Following: Counties Nassau Villages Westbury NYDOT - NSP Asphalt Resurfacing MSP to WSP Proposed work in this "1-R" project will include milling 2" of the existing asphalt riding surface and replacing it with 2" of new warm mix asphalt. Also included are some isolated full depth asphalt and/or composite pavement repairs, new top course asphalt resurfacing and new pavement markings that shall be replaced and modified in accordance with the 2009 MUTCD, NYS MUTCD Supplement and NYSDOT Standard Sheets.
