WEFA REPAIR, PAINT AND REHANG LOUVERED SHUTTERS AND PAINT WEIR HOUSE a. The Government intends to award one firm fixed price Contract in response to this Solicitation. Award is restricted to small businesses in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.203 -- Full and Open Competition After Exclusion of Sources, Set-asides for Small Business Concerns, under NAICS Code: 238320 Painting and Wall Covering Contractors, [$19 million SBA Size Standard). b. This Request for Quote includes 2 Attachments that are a part of this Solicitation. c. The work consists of providing all labor, management, supervision, tools, materials, equipment and transportation necessary to perform the project entitled REPAIR, PAINT AND REHANG LOUVERED SHUTTERS AND PAINT WEIR HOUSE located in the United States Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Weir Farm National Historical Park, 735 Nod Hill Road in Wilton, CT. The major elements of work include, but is not limited to, scrapping, priming, and painting the whole of the exterior of the Weir House clapboard siding and related wood trim, selective windows, and selective doors. Repair minor deteriorated or rotted wood on the building and replace any deteriorated window glazing. This project includes 40 non-functional double-hung wooden windows, four single wooden windows, three narrow transom windows, two storm doors, and one cellar door. The scope of this contract also includes (PMIS #313404) scrapping, priming, and painting 33 pairs of louvered wooden shutters from the historic Weir House. Broken/deteriorated shutters will be repaired or replaced. The shutters in good condition will have loose paint removed, bare wood spots primed, and two coats of paint applied. Once completed, the louvered shutters will be rehung, and existing hardware reused and adjusted as needed, and as described in this scope of work. The contractor must be a licensed professional painting company as a licensed contractor is required to be on site throughout the performance of the contract. d. Period of Performance is a total of 45 Days After Notice to Proceed for the completion of Contract Line Item Numbers 00010 and 00020. Please provide proposed prices for the Contract Line Items on the Standard Form 1442, and then provide the TOTAL of the Contract Line Items on the Standard Form 1442. e. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code and the associated small business size standard are noted in clause 52.204-8 in section "K" of this solicitation. You are required to complete Section K of the Request for Quote. f. The statement of magnitude in accordance with FAR Clause 36.204 is between $1000,000. and $250,000. All onsite work to be performed: will be completed within 45 days, from approximately July 31, 2023, through September 14, 2023. The amount of the bid guarantee shall be 20 percent of the bid price or $3,000,000.00, whichever is less.
