Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Central Islip, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
This project provides for renovations and improvements to the Cohalan Court Complex. The current phase, Phase V, exterior building improvements, focuses on water intrusion and includes capping the cracked copings atop the parapet walls, fixing the leaking facades around windows, and replacement of roofs. The scope of the project has been expanded to include replacement of the parking lot security booths, replacement of the HVAC Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and compressor, the renovation of an existing court room, and the design and construction of a new public entrance. As of August 19, 2024, this project is included in the Suffolk County's FY 2025-2027 CIP. Information regarding a design team and the contractor selection has not been disclosed.
