For the purchase of the following material: 15 kV Air-Insulated Dead-Front Pad-Mounted Switchgear Bid Item No. Type* Purchase Quantity 1 Type-9 2-600A Source, 2-200A Fuse 2 2 TS-1 4-600A Source, 1-600A Tie 1 * As shown in Figure 1 of the Section 7 Technical Specifications. A surety bond, cashier's check or certified check of the bidder, made payable to City of Centralia, for five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid. Bid security of all, except the lowest bidder, will be returned upon execution of the contract by the successful bidder. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, payable to the order of the Utility for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, or accompanied by a bid bond substantially in the form attached, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid, with a corporate surety license to do business in the State of Washington, conditioned that the bidder will pay to the Utility as liquidated damages the maximum amount specified in the bond unless he enters into a contract in accordance with his bid and furnishes a performance bond for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price within ten (10) days from the date on which he is notified he is the successful bidder, as requested by Section 54.04.080 R.C.W The City of Centralia reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities, and to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City.
