Upgrades to the LRPCP are to replace the aging equipment and improve the efficiency of the disinfection process. The new UV equipment must provide secondary effluent disinfection to meet the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) effluent limits as set out in the technical specifications.
