Renovation of a water / sewer project in Overland Park, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The removal and refurbishment of the reservoir inlet Sleeve Valves #1 and #2 associated butterfly isolation valves for Quivira Pump Station. The sleeve valve refurbishment kits, butterfly valves and actuators to be installed by the CONTRACTOR have previously been purchased by the OWNER under separate equipment purchase contracts. The existing steel and cement lined piping and reducers between the butterfly valves will be removed, cleaned, and reused by CONTRACTOR. All disassembled dresser couplings will be replaced, along with any exposed gaskets. New actuators will be included with the OWNER furnished Butterfly valves and the Contractor will be responsible for all electrical and plumbing work associated with the installation of the new valves. All associated piping and appurtenances within the Scope of the Work will require painting according to the drawings and specifications. Also involved will be miscellaneous electrical and instrumentation work.
