Washington County Public Works is looking to perform electrical upgrades in Big Marine Regional Park (17495 Manning Trail North, Marine on St. Croix, MN 55047) to support a new modular office building. With the Electrical Upgrades RFQ, Washington County Public Works is also soliciting RFQ's for Civil Site Work and Mechanical upgrades with this project. The Civil Site Work RFQ includes grading, utilities, and concrete flat work to support the new modular building as well as upgrades to the existing building. A Mechanical RFQ includes HVAC upgrades at the existing maintenance facility. It is expected that all Contractors will coordinate and cooperate as needed to complete the project. To complete this work, Washington County is requesting quotes for electrical upgrades and coordination for a new power supply. A new transformer will be necessary, and the Contractor will be responsible for coordinating the new power with Connexus Energy. All necessary forms are filled out and attached to this RFQ. This RFQ also includes running a new power hook up to the modular building, as well as upgrades to the existing maintenance facility. The costs for this work shall consist of providing all necessary material, equipment, labor and clean up to construct the site improvements. Improvements shall be completed to industry standards and this project will follow the 2020 edition of the Minnesota Department of Transportation" Standard Specifications for Construction" and the "Supplemental Specification" dated September 2022. The Contractor is required to adhere to all National Electrical Codes and local laws, ordinances, and regulations. Electrical Contractor will be responsible for cut-outs, framing and repair where modifications to the exterior walls, soffits or joists are necessary to complete the installation. The County is not responsible for costs incurred by anyone responding to this Request for Quotes. o Upon submission, all quotes become the property of the County, which retains the right to use any concept or idea presented in any quote submitted, whether or not that quote is accepted. o The County expressly reserves the right to amend or withdraw this Request for Quotes at any time and to reject any or all quotes. o The County is not bound to accept the lowest cost quote. o Contractors are held legally responsible for their quotes and quote budgets. o Contractors are not to collude with other Contractors and competitors or take any other action which will restrict competition. Evidence of such activity will result in rejection of the quote. o The County reserves the right to negotiate contract terms contemporaneously and/or subsequently with any number of Contractors as the County deems to be in its best interests. o The County reserves the right to request any additional information at any stage of the Request for Quotes process. Compliance shall be at Contractor's expense. This RFQ does not obligate the County to award a Contract or complete the project. The County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
