The Lee Park pool was built in 1964 and has been closed since the pool season ended in 2019. An assessment conducted in May 2022 revealed significant issues with the pool, including broken pipes and valves, regulatory/code compliance deficiencies, water loss due to cracks and deterioration, old cast iron piping, filtration and mechanical failures and safety concerns. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pursuant to the provisions of the Texas Government Code Section 2269, it is the intention of the City of Irving, Texas to select a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for preconstruction and construction services for the replacement of the Lee Park Swimming Pool located at 3000 Pamela Drive with a new state of the art facility.
