The City of Litchfield is requesting proposals for professional services to install approximately 4,352 S.F. (64'X 68') concrete pad 5" thick with medium wire mesh for City of Litchfield. Proposals will be accepted only from qualified contractors with concrete experience. Contractor shall provide two previous contracts where similar work has been completed. Length of contract for services requested for 60 calendar days completed by September 1, 2023 Payment Contractor will submit invoice once project has been completed or at the end of each month. The city will remit payment following the first Thursday of the month. Project Scope Contractor Shall excavate approximately 4485 S.F. of soil 7" deep and achieve a 1% slope. Contractor will install black fence post for an 6' black chain link fence to separate the two courts The contractor will install black fence post for an 8' black fence around the perimeter of both courts. Contractor shall install 2 net post in each court (4 total) @22' 4" apart (supplied by City) Contractor shall install 4" of base aggregate. Contractor shall install 5" of 3500 PSI concrete with medium wire mesh The finished surface of the concrete will be smooth. Contractor will install the black chain link fence 6' tall between the two courts with 1, 4' gate to go between the 2 courts. The contractor shall install a black 8' chain link fence around the perimeter of both courts and have a 5' gate to enter each court. Contractor shall backfill and seed around the disturbed area. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment to perform said maintenance. All work shall be paid prevailing wage. The Contractor shall not be considered an agent or employee of the city for any purpose and shall be deemed an independent contractor. The Contractor shall be solely liable for any injury to persons, employees, property of the Contractor or property of others. The Contractor shall maintain contractor's liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 for all services outlined and provide proof. Contractor shall have this work completed by September 1st 2023. Proposal Criteria Proposals should include a contractor list of two similar previous jobs. The City reserves the right to select a contractor directly from the written proposals. The award may be made to the most qualified contractor whose proposal is deemed most advantageous to the city; all factors considered. Unsuccessful contractors will be notified as soon as possible. The city reserves the right to negotiate an agreement with the selected contractor based on fair and reasonable compensation for the scope of work and services proposed as well as the right to reject any and all responses deemed unqualified, unsatisfactory, or inappropriate.
