Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
This is a Design-Build (DB) construction project to remove and replace the existing chillers with two (2) low-pressure centrifugal chillers, triple duty valves, piping and electrical equipment (new disconnects, breakers, wiring, etc.) necessary for the removal and installation, and appurtenances as required to make a complete system, which meets the cooling needs of building 4. This procurement has four (4) option bid item. The first option bid item is CLIN 0002 for the design of and for the complete removal and replacement of existing cooling towers in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The second option bid item is CLIN 0003 for the design of and for the complete removal and replacement of existing chilled water pumps and appurtenances needed for a complete system in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The third option bid item is CLIN 0004 for providing a hazardous material survey associated with this project in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The fourth option bid item is CLIN 0004A for removal of asbestos insulation in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
