The Village Center Community Development District (VCCDD) is requesting bids for the relocation of the existing 12 inch sanitary force main (FM) along US Highway 441. Qualified firms wishing to respond to "BID 23B-016 VCSA US 441 Force Main Relocation" must provide all labor, services, equipment and materials described in this document, whether directly or through sub-contractors/sub-consultants. This does not, however, limit the use of sub-contractors or sub-consultants The intent of this project is to relocate approximately 1,000 LF of the existing 12-inch FM outside of the limits of the planned FDOT roadway improvements project (Project ID 238.95-5-52-01) and into an easement paralleling the ROW. Work on this project will begin upon awarded Contractor's receipt of Notice to Proceed. Substantial completion is expected in 180 calendar days with final completion 30 days following, bringing the total construction time to 210 calendar days. The completion date may be extended due to unforeseen circumstances with the approval of the District. Successful Contractor will be responsible for all work according to the attached plans and specifications to include all materials, labor, and equipment required to complete the project in a timely and professional manner. Successful Contractor and any subcontractors will be required to attend a pre-construction meeting after the bid award is approved by the District or the Agreement has been executed by all parties. All questions received by 4:00 PM on July 7, 2023 will be considered. The Villages Community Development District is requiring all Bidders to provide proof of the ability to obtain a performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the total amount bid for this ITB. The District reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review and revise any insurance requirement, not limited to limits, coverages and endorsements based on insurance market conditions affecting the availability or affordability of coverage; or changes in the scope of work/specifications affecting the applicability of coverage. Additionally, the District reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review and reject any insurance policies failing to meet the criteria stated herein, or any insurer(s) providing coverage due to its poor financial condition or failure to operate legally. In such events, the District shall provide the contractor written notice of such revisions or rejections.
