West Main Street Waterline Replacement Project includes the following major items of work: Approximate Quantity Item 4,680 Lf Electrical Conduit (3 Inch) 4,543 Lf 6-lnch C900 Dr18 Pvc Waterline 83 Each Furnish & Install Meter Pit & Setter 2,680 Lf Furnish & Install 1" Service Line. Contract Documents and Specifications may be obtained at the City of Sterling Public Works office at 421 N. 4 th Street, Sterling Colorado 80751. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish Payment and Performance Bonds and comply with the insurance provision as specified by the Contract Documents. A 5% Bid Bond will be required. Work to be performed generally includes: Installation of approximately 4,643 LF of water main, tie-ins to existing water mains, extensions of existing mains, installation of water services to the new main, concrete pavement patching, HMA patching, and temporary water services. Qualifications of the Bidder should include: experience in water pipeline construction, ability to obtain necessary permits for construction, experience in working with CDOT requirements including materials, testing permitting, traffic control, ability to post performance and payment bonds, and ability to deliver the work in conformance with specification within the contract time Technical questions must be directed to the City of Sterling at (970) 520-4058 (Brett Locke, City Engineer) Basis of award will be the lowest responsive and responsible bid as determined by the OWNER. OWNER reserves the right to reject and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities and to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or conditional Bids. Furthermore the Bidder agrees that failure to complete the Contract within the time proposed including any extensions thereof entitles the City to liquidated damages as specified.
