chendricks@vhausa.com The awarded Estimating Firm(s) will work with the VHA Real Estate Development department to
provide detailed cost estimates for a range of multi-family renovation, repair, and new construction
projects at varying points through the design and construction process.
These services will include, but may not be limited to:
- Project Program and Concept Pricing,
- Pre-Construction Pricing and Consultation,
- Progressive Estimate Development through the standard phases of design - Schematic,
Design Development, and Construction Documents,
- Value Engineering Consultation and Price Comparisons,
- Small works and construction change order pricing, as needed.
Projects will consist of affordable-housing new construction, adaptive reuse, rehabilitations,
renovations, and repairs of various scopes and complexity.
The awarded Estimating Firm(s) shall possess demonstratable estimating and cost-projection
knowledge and experience in the primary areas of multi-family housing renovation, repair, and
construction and all associated trades; site work; and landscaping, with special considerations for
expertise in:
- Local energy and building codes,
- Accessibility design and features,
- Evergreen Design Development Standards (ESDS)
- Civil, infrastructure and storm-water management systems,
- Solar energy and other renewable energy systems,
