A) The project consists of replacing the elevator control systems in their entirety. All switches and wiring on which the control and operation of the elevator relies will be replaced. The elevator cab shell, platform, and sling will be replaced. The car speed will be increased to 150 FPM. A new hydraulic jack and power unit will be installed to make the elevator as energy efficient as possible. New interior finishes will be installed. The hall fixtures will be replaced. The door operator will be replaced and will be adjusted to make the elevator perform optimally. The hoistway door panels will be retained. The hall door hangers will be replaced with new style hangers that incorporate safety retainers. The machine room walls will be moved to expand the space to make it code compliant. The shared wall between the machine room and hoistway shall be repaired. The Contractor has overall responsibility for and shall provide and furnish all materials, equipment, tools and labor as necessary or reasonably inferable to complete the Work, or any phase of the Work, in accordance with the Owners requirements and the terms of the Contract Documents.
