Gurnee Park District Concord Oaks 2023 Improvements GHA #6001.000 INVITATION FOR BIDS Sealed proposals for the improvements described below will be received. The bid must be held open for 45 days from the date of bid opening. Subcontracting portions of the work will be allowed pursuant to Section 108.01 of the "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction", Illinois Department of Transportation, latest edition. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bidder or subcontractor who, in the opinion of the Owner or the Engineer, does not have adequate experience, personnel or equipment to perform the work in a timely, efficient and satisfactory manner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof and waive any informality or any irregularities or defects in any or all proposals and to accept that bid which in its opinion is in the best interest of the Owner. Any such decision shall be considered final. It is the intent of the Owner to award a contract to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. The work is located at Concord Oaks Park near the intersection of Woodbury Circle and Pennsbury Lane in Gurnee, IL. The work for which proposals are invited will consist of, in general, but shall not be limited to, the following: Site grading, bench removal and reinstallation, sign removal and reinstallation, tree removal, erosion control installation, concrete installation, curb installation, asphalt removal and paving, site restoration and all appurtenant construction necessary to complete the project. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond for ten percent (10%) of the total bid made payable to the Gurnee Park District shall accompany the bid. The work shall be prosecuted in such a manner and with such a supply of materials, equipment and labor as is considered necessary to ensure its completion according to the time specified in the Contract. The Contractor shall be completed on or before Friday, November 10, 2023, as described in Article 108.05 of the Standard Specifications.
