Renovation of a water / sewer project in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Project will be readvertised. This Project is funded using American Rescue Plan Funds. As such, the contractor will be required to abide by terms of the American Rescue Plan Act Contract Addendum and other relevant documents included in the Bid Documents. A. Work is described in general, non-inclusive terms as: 1. Work Under base Bid a. Cleaning, obstruction removal, and rehabilitation of approximately 4,300 LF of existing 8-inch sewer pipes using the Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) method. b. Point repairs of pipe as indicated in the Drawings and as required to complete indicated CIPP work, even if not indicated in the Drawings. c. Replacement of all laterals up to the right of way and installation of cleanouts for laterals located along pipes called out for CIPP, approximately 1,500 LF. d. Pre- and post-construction televising of all rehabilitated, replaced, and repaired piping, approximately 5,800 LF. e. Other supporting work as required, such as traffic control, road reconstruction, bypass pumping, and project signage. 2. Work under Bid Alternate A a. Replacement of up to approximately 3,900 LF of service laterals from the right of way to the building for the laterals replaced in the base Bid. 3. Work under Bid Alternate B b. Abandon in place 500 LF of interconnected lateral segments as a lump sum item. The segments are called out on the Drawings. The Project has an expected duration of 140 days. The Bid posting on the town's website, hillsboroughnc.gov, will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, Addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered from the town to the plan holder list and posted on the town website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including Addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the town or its website. All questions regarding this solicitation are due by 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Questions shall be directed in writing to bryant.green@hillsboroughnc.gov. Verbal questions and responses shall not be considered official. The town will respond to questions by Wednesday, July 26, 2023, via published addendum for which all Bidders must acknowledge in their Bid proposal where noted.
