The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office is responsible for managing and maintaining a county-wide network of emergency radio communications. The Department of Public Infrastructure manages the County's real estate and maintains its infrastructure. There are twenty-one (21) radio tower sites throughout the County of Sonoma with tower heights ranging between 40 and 185 feet. The Sonoma Mountain Communications Site is a critical hub in the County's overall emergency communications network. The existing 185' structure is a three-level guyed tower manufactured by Rohn Products, LLC of Peoria, Illinois. The approximate age of the tower is 50 years old. The Sonoma Mountain Tower site is located at: 2482 SONOMA MTN. ROAD PETALUMA, CA 94954 Contractor, working at the direction of county or delegated independent representative, shall repair, recoat or otherwise remove & replace components of the existing tower, as identified in their assessment inspection including, without limitation, guy wires, turnbuckles, guy anchors, guy-wire attachment hardware, cross brace structural members, non-structural bridging members, antenna support hardware, climbing foot-pegs, climbing cables, and all associated accessories necessary to complete the scheduled work. Bidders will be required to submit any and all questions in writing per the schedule in order for staff to prepare written responses to all bidders.
