Excavation adjacent to foundation walls down to the wall's bottom. Application of new waterproofing membrane and drainage mat. New weeping tile to be installed and drain into existing sump pit either under the foundation wall or by coring through foundation wall. Area will be backfilled with free draining backfill, 150mm of top soil, sod, and provide positive drainage away from building Bidders are encouraged to use Saskatchewan manufactured materials and products where cost and quality of materials at the time of bid, are equal, so as to facilitate local content from Saskatchewan manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors. The Owner provides equal opportunity for all Canadian Contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers to bid the work. The Owner reserves the right to reject all or any part of any bid and/or to waive technical defects in the bid, if in its judgment the interest of the Owner may so require. Where the Contract is proposed in separate sections, or with alternates, the Owner reserves the right to award any section separately or to choose any alternate which is in its best interests. Bids shall be valid for a period of 60 calendar days following close of the Bidding. Bid submissions shall be prima facie evidence of the Bidder's preparedness and ability to commence the Work at the Site within thirty (30) calendar days following notice of award. Work at the Site shall commence regardless of the soil or weather conditions encountered, and shall continue without interruption, except as agreed upon by the Consultant and the Owner. Bid bonds are not required for this project. The work shall begin on July 17, 2023. The work shall be completed by August 31, 2023 Once accepted in writing by the Owner, the Contractor shall commence work by August 1, 2023. The Work shall be completed by August 31, 2023.
