Site work for a civil project in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The work shall consist of excavating, to the lines and grades shown on the plans or specified by the Engineer, for the bedding, filter blanket and rip-rap. When specified, the work shall include the removal, salvage and/or disposal; or decommissioning; of the existing structure(s). When specified, the work shall also consist of excavating stream diversions and channel improvements. When necessary, the work shall include the removal or controlling of water in the construction area. For the installation of "Corrugated Steel Culverts", the work shall include placement of the culvert on the bed, installation of couplers, if required, and installation of steel headwalls, if required. For the installation of "Structural Plate Culverts" the culverts shall be assembled and the steel headwalls will be installed by others. The work shall include the simultaneous placing and compacting of clay bedding, granular bedding and side fill with heavy equipment and light handheld equipment around the culvert, to the lines and grades shown on the plans, or specified by the Engineer. The placing and compacting of the bedding will be carried out in two separate operations. The initial operation shall commence at the "Foundation Line", or specified sub cut depth and be interrupted at the "Culvert Gradeline." After the culvert and headwalls, if headwalls are used, have been satisfactorily placed and assembled, the second operation of simultaneously placing and compacting the bedding and side fill shall commence and continue to the limits of the work. The work shall also include supply of the clay bedding, side fill, and rip-rap and placing the filter blanket and rip-rap to the lines, grades and thicknesses shown on the plans or as designated by the Engineer Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Bid Deposit in an amount not less than 10 percent of the Total Bid.
