As of September 14, 2023 five awarded firms have been identified. Bartow County and its associated municipalities, including the Cities of Adairsville, Cartersville, Emerson, Euharlee, Kingston, Taylorsville and White, may apply for parks and recreation focused grant funding at a future date. As part of this process, Bartow County and associated municipalities are soliciting proposals from interested firms for providing Architectural/Engineering/Design Services in coordination with anticipated future parks and recreation grant applications and future grant projects. Typical parks and recreation grant projects may include design, construction and/or rehabilitation of walking/hiking/biking/water trails, ballfields, sports complexes, and other outdoor recreation facilities and activities. Applications currently in development require design services for mountain bike trails and trail amenities, hiking trails and trail amenities, softball fields, canopy tours, and ropes courses among other activities, so firms with particular interest in any of these areas are strongly encouraged to respond to this request. Project specific details, including project activities, grant funds and public benefit, will be made available to all interested parties during the grant application phase. Project budgets typically range from $100,000 - $3 million. Architectural/engineering/design fees cannot exceed allowable grant maximums per federal grant requirements. There is no local preference for this contract. The deadline for submitting inquiries related to this project is July 24, 2023. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
