Lower Paxton and Susquehanna are accepting Statements of Interest (SOI) from engineering firms for project specific design, permitting, construction management and construction inspection necessary for the Route 39 Adaptive Signal Improvement Project. The traffic improvements will consist of the installation of an adaptive signal system. This system is designed to improve the flow of traffic through adjusting signal based on real time demand and relieve congested intersections. Design shall be based on the Miovision Surtrac technology. The adaptive signals will be connected to the Commonwealth Network to facilitate communication with PennDOT's Unified Command and Control System for data collection. In addition to providing the design, permitting, and construction phase services for this project, the selected consultant will be required to ensure that the project is being undertaken in accordance with the TSTG Agreement. The total estimated project cost for this project is $1,206,406.
