The City of Kingsland is soliciting a Request for Proposals to qualified contractors for the Water Plant 2 Well Rehabilitation located at 358 E. Colerain Road. Specifications for this project are included in this Request. It is important for the City to be able to procure bid proposals from qualified contractors who have the integrity and reliability that will assure good faith performance. Workmanship employed in any construction, repair, or installation required by this proposal shall be of the highest quality and meet recognized standards within the respective trades, crafts, and of the skills employed. The City of Kingsland reserves the right, at any time, to modify, waive, or otherwise vary the terms and conditions of this RFP including, but not limited to, the deadlines for submissions and submission requirements. The City further reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, to cancel or withdraw this RFP at any time and to negotiate with any party prior to or after submittal of proposals. Selection is also dependent upon the negotiation of a mutually acceptable contract with the successful proposers. Repack the stuffing box (pump packing) 3. Install new 10-inch flanged gate valve on discharge of well pump 4. Remove existing piping and fittings to facilitate new valve installation 5. Replace 12-inch pressure sustaining valve and spool piping to accommodate the added 10" valve 6. Reinstall existing 6-inch pressure relief valve 7. Paint all above ground piping and fittings with paint approved for used on water system to be painted matching blue to well #4 8. Kingsland Staff will remove and reinstall roof over the well
