Site work and new construction of a civil project in Pawling, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project generally consists of the following work: The project sites are located at the end of Grandview Avenue and at 50 Tyrell Road property in the Village of Pawling, NY. The work for Contract 1 will include construction of the new Baxter Green Water Treatment Plant building and systems, including a 816 square-foot building, piping, and treatment systems inside of the building, and installation of a backup generator. The work will include bringing the Lower Baxter Water Source, (5 previously installed Production Well Pumps with raw water piping and electrical conduits) online located to the east of the proposed treatment plant. The work also includes the construction of an approximately 400 LF chlorine contact loop. The Village previously installed approximately 700 LF of 6" HDPE pipe in the area between the proposed water treatment plant and Grandview Avenue. Work will include the connection to and testing of pre-installed watermain between the existing watermain located at Grandview Avenue and the proposed chlorine contact loop pipe. This is an EFC DWSRF funded project and the successful contractor will need to comply with all EFC program requirements. Work shall be determined to be satisfactorily completed when in compliance with the plans and technical specifications. This project will be awarded as four (4) multiple prime contracts for work to be performed simultaneously (General, Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical construction) in accordance with Wicks Law. Bids will be received on a lump sum basis with unit prices and alternates, if included on the Bid Form. Bids should not include sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. If Bids are actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified, they shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bids may have been placed in a mailbox or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Bidders will also be required to furnish a Non-Collusive Affidavit. The Village of Pawling as Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bid received, or to reject any Bid without explanation.
