Renovation of a mixed-use development in Loves Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and golf course.
Replace multiple rooftop units. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall com ply with the requirements of the IL Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Rockford Park District reserves the unrestricted right to reject any or all bids received, to waive or not to waive any informality, or to accept the bid considered to be in the best interest of the Park District. The Rockford Park District is seeking qualified contractors to replace multiple rooftop units at the downtown Webbs Norman Center building at 401 S. Main Street, 61101 and the ISC building at 8800 E. Riverside Blvd., 61111, and furnace/AC units at the Sandy Hollow Golf Clubhouse at 2670 Sandy Hollow Rd 61109. Removal and replacement of existing rooftop unit on the lobby roof of the Webbs Norman Center, two RTU's (One of which is an alternate) on the roof of the ISC building (east or west), and furnace/AC replacement at the Sandy Hollow Golf Clubhouse as specified on the drawings included in this bid. Contractor is responsible for obtaining any and all permits and all costs associated with said permits. Contractor is responsible for any equipment rental to remove and replace units. RFIs due noon, July 10, 2023 1. Provide new high efficiency RTU's, furnaces and AC's with appropriate curb adaptors and all labor, materials, equipment and necessary permits and inspections for installation of new units as described on attached drawings and specifications. 2. Note in drawings/specifications that the new Sandy Hollow units will require new gas line installed to replace the existing electric units. 3. The east and west units at the Indoor Sports Center shall be sized the same capacities as existing. Contractor to verify model numbers and size of existing units. 4. Bid shall also include delivery, placement and startup of new units and disconnection, removal and off-site disposal of the existing units. 5. Reconnect existing power as required for operation of new units. All other existing mechanical and electrical connections are to be considered operational and reused unless provided with the new rooftop unit as standard equipment or otherwise specified within this bid. Installation shall include any modifications to existing curbs to fit the footprint of the new units. 6. Bid shall include startup and verification of unit operating properly. 7. Acceptable RTU manufacturers include Carrier and Trane. Any other proposed manufacturers shall be submitted to and approved by owner prior to RFI deadline.
