Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The proposed project will consist of standard milling & overlay, full depth roadway reconstruction, reconstructing Bartlett Park & City Hall Plaza on Weed Street, and various improvements of Main Street at its intersection with South Bolton Street. The work includes excavation, full depth hot mix asphalt reconstruction, drainage upgrades, cement concrete sidewalk & wheelchair ramps, brick sidewalk, brick pavement accent strip, concrete pavers, granite curb, pavement markings, signs, traffic signals, relocation of existing street lighting and new street lighting, landscaping, bicycle share station, benches, bollards, minor drainage improvements, and other incidental work. MassDOT prequalification of contractors with the class of work as, (HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION), for the project with an estimated value of $6,550,725.00 will be required. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c. 30, 39M, and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L c.149, 26 through 27H inclusive. Questions concerning the bid specifications must be submitting in writing via email to Attn: Mark Dascoli at mdascoli@marlborough-ma.gov no later than 5 calendar days prior to the scheduled bid opening. All questions and answers shall be distributed as an addendum to all on record as having received the bid documents. Bid Security shall be at least five percent (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount, considering all alternates. The Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond shall be: a) with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and satisfactory to Owner; b) conditional upon the faithful performance by the principal of the agreements contained in the Bid; and c) submitted with your E-Bid online. In lieu of and ONLY IN LIEU OF an insurance Bid Bond certificate submitted as outlined above (items a. through c.), a Bid Security in the form of cash, or a certified check, treasurer's, or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company and made payable to the Owner must be submitted with a completed Cash Bid Bond Affidavit form and received by the Owner before the time of bidding.
