The Town of Bridgewater (Town) is seeking a consultant to complete a report focused on flood risk and associated solutions to appropriately protect people from the risk of flood and erosion along the shoreline of the LaHave River. The Town is seeking recommendations related to which flood risk scenario(s) from the 2013 Flood Study should be captured in any updated policy and what limitations (if any) should be placed on development activity within the designated study area along the LaHave River. The successful consultant will have the expertise to analyze and apply existing flood risk mapping in consideration of climate change, while also applying a planning lens focused on encouraging downtown development and an active riverfront.
