It is the intent of this solicitation to establish a Master Agreement whereby electrical and related work will be accomplished for the City of Orange City (CITY) in a reliable and timely manner. The Contractor shall have the capacity to service multiple locations throughout CITY at any given time. The majority of work under this contract will be electrical repair, replacement and installation work for CITY owned/commercial properties. Many CITY departments such as Utilities, Public Works, Police and Fire are 24/7/365 operations and rely on the continuous use of electrical driven equipment such as pumps and controls. Contractor is required to have "standby personnel" able to quickly respond to the CITY's request and are capable of being called out after hours to perform electrical repairs on critical equipment including, but not limited to wells, lift stations, plant electrical panels, etc. The CITY intends to award a contract to a primary and secondary Contractor. Bidders must be a State of Florida Certified Electrical Contractor in good standing and registered with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation prior to bid submission. Contractors shall conduct all work during regular working hours unless authorized in writing by the CITY. Regular working hours shall be Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m., until 4:00 p.m. Non-regular working hours will be Monday through Friday 4:01 p.m., until 6:59 a.m., including all day Saturday, Sunday and City recognized holidays. Contractors shall only utilize licensed or certified, trained and experienced employees to perform the Work required. Contractors shall have electricians on staff who possess both master and helper licenses and certifications in good standing with the State of Florida. Contractors shall have on staff and provide proof, of electricians experienced in water and wastewater electrical equipment and/or industrial equipment.
