Renovation of a mixed-use development in Chatham, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 13,000-square-foot municipal facility.

Generally, the work includes: renovation of existing 13,000 suare feet pre -engineered building. Renovations include new Finishes, HVAC system, lighting, roofing, and miscellaneous site work. The project is scheduled to commence promptly upon Board approval and be substantially complete by May 24, 2024. Bids shall include: 1. Properly completed Bid Form in duplicate. 2. Bid Security in the amount of 10% of Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. 3. Not less than the prevailing hourly wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s-1 et. seq. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act". Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782 -6206. All Bidders shall submit and enclose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295 (Senate Bill 2002) effective January 1, 1989. Certification is located in the Proposal Form in the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, made payable to Board of Education, Ball Chatham C.U.S.D. #5. Bids not accompanied by a bid bond will be rejected. Successful Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the Contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U. S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Contractor shall pay the premiums for these bonds. The Board of Education for Ball Chatham C.U.S.D. #5 reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warranted. No bidder shall modify, withdraw, or cancel his bid or any part thereof for sixty (60) days after the time designated for the receipt of bids.
