A. Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to satisfactorily return all construction areas to their original conditions or better. B. Work consists of preparing seed beds and sowing grass seed utilizing hydroseeding equipment and methods in order to establish a turf grass cover to areas disturbed during construction and as directed by the Engineer. The areas at a minimum shall include disturbed areas around each clarifier and the area surrounding the new MCC. C. This work shall be performed in accordance with the provisions of Section 739 of the Louisiana Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges, 2016 Edition (Purple Book), and latest revisions, except as noted otherwise in these specifications. Rehabilitation of four existing circular clarifiers by removing all existing equipment from each concrete tank and replacing with new center feed clarifier mechanical equipment. Additional work includes replacement of motor control center (MCC), replacement of four 18 plug valves, and replacement of four buried 8 plug valves with new electrically operated plug valves and controls. Bidder must submit a bid security in the form of bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in the amount of 5% of the contract price in favor of the City of Kenner. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract Price guaranteeing faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. The Work is to commence within 10 days after the Notice to Proceed. Completion of the Work is required within 330 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. the City of Kenner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive informalities.
