Site work for a water / sewer project in Melfort, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Collaboration to finalize the detailed design of desludging component and optionally the liner component with MPE Engineering and SaskWater. Schedule A: Melfort Creek Slope Stabilization The rehabilitation of the Melfort Creek Valley must occur before desludging of the residuals pond due to high potential of significantly increased seepage during and after desludging. This scope includes the reconstruction of the valley slope using staged earthworks methods and is to include all in-water work along the Melfort Creek. Construction of the slope repair is to occur Fall of 2023. Schedule B: Residuals Ponds Remediation The residuals pond rehabilitation will include all items associated with repairing the ponds and fully commissioning the residuals management system. The residuals pond rehabilitation is to commence with dewatering and desludging both cells. Sludge is anticipated to be left on site for ongoing drainage. Upon completion of dewatering and desludging, the ponds are to be repaired and upgraded with new piping and structures. Desludging and pond rehabilitation construction is to occur in late spring / early summer of 2024.
