Renovation of a fire / police facility in Oak Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The Village of Oak Park will receive proposals from qualified contractors to provide an exterior egress deck at the north fire station, located at 212 Augusta, Oak Park, IL 60302. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals or to waive technicalities, or to accept any item of any proposal. The successful contractor shall, within ten (10) calendar days after award of the Proposal, furnish a contract bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The bond shall ensure faithful performance of the work, and the payment for materials, labor and of the subcontractors. The bond shall be with a surety or sureties with a rating of A or better by A.M. Best and Company and such sureties shall be approved by the Village. Bonds in the form of certified or cashiers check shall be made payable to the Village of Oak Park, Illinois. The contract bond shall be furnished in the same number of copies as the number of copies of the agreement to be executed. The contractor shall be responsible for becoming a licensed contractor in the Village. The contractor shall also be responsible for obtaining any and all required permits from the Villages Development Customer Services Department (Building Permits Division). The Village shall waive all permit fees.
