As of April 9, 2025, per owner, architect and general contractor have been identified. Caston Park construction is underway. There is no current timeline for Arrowhead Park construction. Landscape architecture and engineering firm that will be responsible for the design, bidding, and construction administration for a redevelopment plan for Caston Park and the multi-phase expansion Arrowhead Park The Town of Cheraw is undertaking the development of a recreation master plan that involves the redevelopment/expansion of two parks. The Town currently has conceptual plans for the redevelopment of Caston Park and the expansion of Arrowhead Park in Cheraw. Broadly, the scope of work includes the following: - Final design and creation of construction documents for the redevelopment of Caston Park from a baseball field to a tennis and pickleball facility. - Final design and creation of construction documents for the expansion of Arrowhead Park to include but not limited to multi-purpose fields, parking areas, walking trail, field house, and splash pad. - The creation of cost estimates for the implementation of project phases. - The bidding out of project phases. - The construction administration of project phases Design expected to be complete for Caston Park Late Summer/Fall 2024 and Construction beginning Fall/Winter 2024. Arrowhead Park Design Late Summer/Fall 2024 and construction TBD.
