Renovation of a military facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

The Contractor shall provide supervision, labor, material and equipment as required to perform the following work and shall be done in a manner to provide a complete, usable and finished end product, to replace dehumidifier (DAHU 16) in room 211 and the condensing unit (ACC 16) located on the roof of building DN-355 at Dam Neck Annex, Virginia Beach, VA. The Contractor shall give the Activity 15 day's prior notice before starting any work, and shall apply for an outage through the contracting officer. In general, the Scope of Work includes the Contractor shall secure the electrical power to the existing DAHU and Condensing Unit, utilizing proper OSHA approved Lock out/ Tag out procedures. DAHU 16 is energized by electrical panel P2B, breaker 32, the contractor must field verify prior to commencing work. The roof top condensers (ACC16) electrical wiring must be disconnected. ACC16 is powered from panel 3A, located in room 348, circuit number 31, the contractor must field verify prior to commencing work. The Contractor shall provide and install new DAHU and Condensing Unit which is equivalent (or superior) to the existing unit with respect to capacity and features. Contractor shall provide documentation in writing that the new unit is equivalent (or superior) in every respect. Written documentation shall contain complete serial numbers and model numbers of existing and new units. AHU when installed shall fit above the existing ceiling with free and unobstructed access to all maintenance components. Set roof top condensing unit utilizing proper vibration isolator pads. Estimated Budget Amount or Price Range: In accordance with FAR 36.204 Disclosure of the Magnitude of Construction Projects, the estimated price range for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. NAICS Code: 236220 - Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Time for completion: Contract completion date is 120 calendar days. The days are calculated from date of task order award, which includes the initial 15 days allowed for distribution of the task order award, submission and approval of insurance, bonding and other requirements set forth in the task order/MACC. Task order award is considered notice to proceed. Wage Rate Requirements: Department of Labor (DoL) General Decision Number: VA20230167 (Attachment B) applies to this work. Should this wage determination be modified by DoL prior to award, the most current wage determination may be issued via amendment. Liquidated damages: In accordance with FAR 52.211-12 Liquidated Damages, if the Contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified in the contract, the Contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $0.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. Liquidated damages do not apply to this project. Utilities: In accordance with FAR 52.236-14 Availability and Use of Utility Services - The Government shall make all reasonably required amounts of utilities available to the Contractor from existing outlets and supplies, as specified in the contract. Unless otherwise provided in the contract, the amount of each utility service consumed shall be charged to or paid for by the Contractor at prevailing rates charged to the Government or, where the utility is produced by the Government, at reasonable rates determined by the Contracting Officer. The Contractor shall carefully conserve any utilities furnished without charge. Record Shop Drawings: In accordance with FAR 52.236.21, Specifications and Drawings for Construction Alternate I (Apr 1984) record shop drawings and reproducible copies of these record drawings are not required. Government Furnished Property: There is no Government Furnished Property.
