The City of Grand Prairie ("City") and the Grand Prairie Local Government Corporation ("LGC") invite all highly qualified developers or firms to submit an expression of interest, or proposal, to provide master development services for the redevelopment of the former Calvary Baptist Church property (totaling approximately 4.72 acres and owned by the LGC) and the redevelopment of property fronting Main Street (containing approximately 1.66 acres owned by the City), in front of the newly updated City Hall, and in coordination with the future City Hall "Grand Plaza." The RFEI may include the sale of approximately 6.38 acres of land, more or less, located at the following addresses in the City of Grand Prairie, Dallas County, Texas: 300 and 406 West Main St.; 401, 406, 409, 410, 413, 421 (two parcels), 423, 428 (two parcels), 500, 510, 514, 518, 522, and 526 West Church St.; and 114 NW 5 th St. These properties are generally bounded by Main St. to the south, Northwest 6th St. to the west, Northwest 4th St. to the east, and Adair St., in the City of Grand Prairie, Dallas County, Texas. To ensure the best value to the City and the LGC, all RFEI submittals, or proposals, will be treated as sealed bids for purposes of Texas Local Gov't Code Ch. 272.001 and reviewed by the City and the LGC and in accordance with the competitive process outlined in the RFEI. Sec. 272.001. NOTICE OF SALE OR EXCHANGE OF LAND BY POLITICAL SUBDIVISION; EXCEPTIONS. (a) Except for the types of land and interests covered by Subsection (b), (g), (h), (i), (j), or (l), and except as provided by Section 253.008, before land owned by a political subdivision of the state may be sold or exchanged for other land, notice to the general public of the offer of the land for sale or exchange must be published in a newspaper of general circulation in either the county in which the land is located or, if there is no such newspaper, in an adjoining county. The notice must include a description of the land, including its location, and the procedure by which sealed bids to purchase the land or offers to exchange the land may be submitted. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
