Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Howey in the Hills, Florida. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of May 29, 2025, a design/build firm has been selected and design is in progress. Design/build firm information has not been determined. It is anticipated bidding will commence before end of summer 2025. A firm timeline for start of construction has not been determined. A detailed scope has not yet been released. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The project includes the design, engineering, and construction of the housing for Wells #5 and #6 and the associated water treatment plant to process and distribute clean and potable water to the town's residents and businesses, tying into the existing water utility system. The expectation is for the construction of a 500,000 gallon CROM tank to fulfill the Town's water needs. The Town has obtained funding necessary to complete the project from St. John's River Water Management District, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and the State of Florida.
