This project is included in the City of Delaware's fiscal years 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of December 1, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is allotted to fiscal year 2024 and after. A detailed scope has not yet been released. The 14th Street pump station project involves the design and construction of a new pump station to work in conjunction with the storm sewer system. During normal tidal events the gravity flow will drain the 14th Street Watershed to the Bay through the new gravity storm sewer system, while the pump station will be primarily used during high tides to alleviate flooding. The project also involves the replacement of water and sewer lines impacted by the upgraded storm sewer system installation and repaving for restoration *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
