Notice is hereby given that the San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, hereinafter called Superintendent , will receive sealed bids up to, but not later than the time fixed above, for the award of a contract to provide preventative maintenance, service, repair and installation of heating and cooling systems in classrooms and administrative buildings located throughout San Bernardino County. HVAC units and brands vary from building to building. Question Deadline 07/14/2023 at 2:00 PM PT The contract awarded will begin on August 1, 2023, or as soon thereafter as practicable and continue through and including June 30, 2024. The Superintendent may, at its option, renegotiate a contract for up to, but not exceeding two (2) additional one-year periods. Each bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Bidding and Contract Documents. All forms must be completed, signed, and returned with the bid. Submitted Bids should be original with signatures in blue ink. Each bid shall be accompanied by an original bid security (bond), in the amount of Five Hundred and no/100 Dollars ($500.00), Designation of Subcontractors, Contractor's Certificate regarding Workers' Compensation, Non-Collusion Declaration, Certificate Regarding Drug-Free Workplace, Certification Regarding Debarment, Suspension, Ineligibility and Voluntary Exclusion, PWC 100 Information, Dir Registration, Iran Contracting Act of 2010, and Certification Page as required by the Information for Bidders. A Payment Bond and Performance Bond will be required of the awarded contractor prior to the execution of the contract for any project exceeding $25,000.00. In accordance with provisions of Public Contract Code Section 22300, substitution of eligible and equivalent securities for any monies withheld to ensure performance under this contract will be permitted at the request and expense of any contractor Bids shall remain open, valid and subject to acceptance anytime within ninety (90) days after the bid opening date and time, unless a longer period of time is mutually agreed to by the parties. The Superintendent will award based on individual items bid, or any combination of individual items, or upon a cumulative total of all items bid, whichever method is determined to be in its best interest. The Superintendent reserves the right to reject any or all bids, any part of a bid, or may waive any informality in a bid.
