1. Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Inductive Loop Detector and Piezoelectric Axle Sensor Replacement and/or Restoration to an as-built condition as described herein: Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, travel, and incidentals necessary to repair and/or replace non-functioning loop detectors and piezoelectric axle sensors on an on-call, as-needed, routine, and emergency basis. 2. The services shall be performed at various locations in Caltrans District 11 throughout Imperial and San Diego Counties. See Attachment 4, List of Locations. 3. Any reference to Caltrans Contract Manager shall also include his/her designee. 4. This Agreement will commence on July 30, 2023 (estimate), or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement will expire on July 29, 2025 (estimate). The routine services shall be provided during normal business hours of Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and night hours of 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Sunday evening through Friday morning, excluding State holidays. The non-routine services shall be provided on days and times specified by Caltrans Contract Manager and may take place outside the normal business hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and night hours of 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Sunday evening through Friday morning, excluding State holidays. The parties may amend this Agreement as permitted by law. Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, travel, work signs, cones and/or traffic control equipment, traffic control flaggers and incidentals required to saw/cut, repair and/or replace non-functioning loop detectors and piezoelectric axle sensors, including replacing pull boxes and pull box covers and conduit, as needed to accomplish this scope of work on an on-call, as-needed, routine, and emergency basis.
