The Town of Canora (Owner) requests a tender to complete the construction of the Canora Transfer Station at the existing Canora landfill. The work is located at the northeast edge of the Town of Canora, approximately 400 m north of Whitesand Drive and 500 m east of Norway Road (Provincial Highway 9) at the SW quarter of Section 31-30-03-W2M. The work to be undertaken generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: Mobilization and demobilization of equipment to site, including construction of haul roads, site safety, and all other temporary works and facilities. Grubbing of all brush, roots, and stumps from within the grubbing limits and hauling to the appropriate stockpile. Stripping of approximately 50 mm of topsoil from within the stripping limits and hauling of material to the appropriate stockpiles as shown in the drawings. Excavation of deleterious material from the lock block retaining wall footprint as indicated on drawings and disposed of in the landfill on site. Construction of an elevated lock block retaining wall. Construction of concrete pads for roll-off bins. Supply and install of a pre-fabricated 10 x 24 scale kiosk building and foundation. Supply and install of an above-ground 10 x 40 scale and foundation. Construction of approach ramps on either side of the above ground scale. Install Styrofoam insulation under shallow foundations. Construction of a compost pad consisting of a clay liner and granular material. Construction of the surface water ditches including supply and placement of all erosion controls. Topsoiling and seeding of permanent ditches, embankment slopes, all disturbed areas, and seeding of topsoil stockpiles to aid in erosion control on-site. Surveying, as required for the completion of all portions of the Work, which must include a detailed as-built geodetic survey of the entire Work area and all the Work performed.
